Boca Knocked Out Of Copa

At Buenos Aires, Argentina:

Diego De Souza Caballo scored the only goal (27') of match number two as Defensor Sporting defeated Boca Juniors on the road 1-0 to win their two-match set 4 points to 1 on aggregate.

That match on Thursday wraped up the first knockout round of the Copa Libertadores.

The quarterfinal round begins next Tuesday with the opening matches of the respective two-match series.

Two matches will be played next Tuesday with the other two quarterfinal series opening on Wednesday.

The return contests will take place on June 17 and 18.

The matchups:

Gremio vs. Caracas FC

Estudiantes vs. Defensor Sporting

Nacional (Uruguay) vs. Palmeiras

Sao Paolo FC vs. Cruzeiro

There will be at least one Brazilian club in the semifinals.
