At Cairo:

Patrick Kaddu (14') and Emmanuel Okwi (48') each scored once as Uganda blanked the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2-0.

At Alexandria:

Goals from Sory Kaba (34') and Francois Kamano (PK-66') enabled Guinea to gain a 2-2 draw with Madagascar.

Anicet Abel Andrianantenaina (49') and Carolus Andriamatsinoro (55') each scored a goal for Barea.
