Three games were played on Friday in Egypt as group-stage play in the African Nations Cup continued.

GROUP D, with both games contested at Al Salam Stadium in Cairo:

Game One:

Youssef En-Nesyri scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd minute as Morocco defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 to lock up a berth in the knockout stage.

Game Two:

Bongani Zungu scored the only goal of the contest in the 68th minute as South Africa defeated Namibia 1-0.

Group D Standings:

1. x-Morocco (GP: 2; GD: +2; PTS: 6)
2.    Ivory Coast (GP: 2; GD: 0; PTS: 3)
3.    South Africa (GP: 2; GD: 0; PTS: 3)
4.    Namibia (GP: 2; GD: -2; PTS: 3)

x-Clinched berth in knockout stage

NOTE:  Ivory Coast defeated South Africa at Cairo this past Monday.



GROUP E:

At Suez:

Wahbi Khazri's equalizer in the 70th minute lifted Tunisia to a 1-1 draw with Mali.

Diadie Samassekou scored for the Eagles in the 60th minute.
