At Montreal:
Nani (PK-27'), Tesho Akindele (36'), and Will Johnson (42') each scored once as Orlando City dominated the Montreal Impact 3-0 on the road.
At Atlanta:
Josef Martinez scored both goals (12', 43') in the first half of Atlanta United's 2-0 home dousing of the Chicago Fire.
At Harrison, New Jersey:
Marcelo Silva (OG-58'), Daniel Royer (59'), Michael Murillo (64'), and Omir Fernandez (83') each scored once as the New York Red Bulls broke open what was a scoreless stalemate at halftime and laid waste to visiting Real Salt Lake 4-0.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Heber (57') and Valentin Castellanos (75') each scored once to carry New York City to a 2-2 road draw with the Columbus Crew.
Gyasi Zardes (28') and Pedro Santos (61') each delivered a goal for the hosts.
At Frisco, Texas:
Own goals from Xavier Arreaga (33') and Brad Smith (38') proved fatal to the Seattle Sounders as they dropped a 2-1 road decision to DC Dallas.
At Washington:
Luciano Acosta's equalizer in the 68th minute lifted DC United to a 1-1 home draw with the San Jose Earthquakes.
Chris Wondolowski scored for the Quakes in the 37th minute. It was his seventh goal in the last three games for San Jose as he increased his MLS-record career total to 151.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Nicolas Mezquida scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute as the Colorado Rapids stretched their unbeaten run to four games (three wins and a draw) as they defeated visiting FC Cincinnati 3-1.
At Houston:
Alberth Elis' game-tying tally at 69 minutes carried the Houston Dynamo to a 1-1 home draw with Sporting Kansas City.
Yohan Croizet scored for the hosts in the 63rd minute.
At Portland, Oregon:
Carlos Vela (6'), Diego Rossi (34'), and Latif Blessing (54') each scored once as the Los Angeles Football Club ruined the Portland Timbers' home opener 3-2.
