Two games---each involving two Canadian Premier League clubs----were contested on Wednesday as the second round of Canadian Championship qualifying continued.
At Halifax, Nova Scotia:
Tomasz Skublak (39') and Mohamed Kourouma (41') each scored a goal two minutes apart as the HFX Wanderers came from behind to upend visiting Valour FC 2-1 in their series opener.
At Toronto:
Luca Gasparotto (28'), Rodrigo Gattas (31'), and Simon Adjei (51') each scored once as York9 FC held off visiting FC Edmonton 3-1 in the opening game of their series.
