At Hiroshima, Japan:
Shoma Doi scored twice (33', 89') as Kashima Antlers, despite dropping a 3-2 game-two road decision to Sanfrecce Hiroshima, won their series with their fellow Japanese club on away goals with the aggregate score at 3-3.
At Jinan, China:
Despite dropping 2-1 regulation decision in game two of their series with Shandong Luneng, which deadlocked this all-Chinese series at 3-3 on aggregate, and after which each club scored once in overtime, Guangzhou Evergrande won the penalty-kick shootout 6-5 as Wei Shihao, Gao Lin, Yang Liyu, Paulinho, Zhang Linpeng, and Zhong Yihao all converted their spot kicks.
