FIFA Women's World Cup: Germany, Nigeria, France Lock Up Wednesday Wins

The second cycle of FIFA Women's World Cup group-stage games opened on Wednesday with three contests in France.

GROUP A:

At Grenoble:

Kim Do-yeon (OG-29') and Asisat Oshoala (75') each scored once as Nigeria blanked South Korea 2-0.

At Nice:

Eugenie Le Sommer converted a penalty kick in the 72nd minute for the game-winning goal as France put itself on the cusp of advancing to the knockout stage by defeating Norway 2-1.
