The fourth round of the US Open Cup tournament opened on Tuesday with six games.
At Columbus, Ohio:
David Accam scored the only goal of the Columbus Crew's 1-0 home victory over the USL Championship's Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the 55th minute.
At Montclair, New Jersey:
Teal Bunbury scored twice (85', 109') as the ten-man New England Revolution knocked off the New York Red Bulls 3-2 on the road in an all-MLS battle that was decided in overtime.
At Houston:
Matias Vera scored the winning goal in the 40th minute as the Houston Dynamo held on for a 3-2 victory over the visiting Austin Bold (USL Championsip).
At St. Charles, Missouri:
Austin Martz (17') and Guy Abend (21') each scored once as Saint Louis FC turned in the only Tuesday victory by a non-MLS club as the USL Championship club knocked off the visiting Chicago Fire of MLS 2-1.
At Sandy, Utah:
Carlos Vela (8'), Lee Nguyen (64'), and Valentin Adama Doimande (90'+3) each scored once as the Los Angeles Football Club dominated Real Salt Lake 3-0 on the road in an all-MLS affair.
At San Jose, California:
Vako Qazaishvili scored twice in the waning minutes (78', 90'+1) as the San Jose Earthquakes held off the visiting Sacramento Republic of the USL Championship 4-3.
NOTE: Tuesday's scheduled match between the Charleston Battery (USL Championship) and Atlanta United (MLS) was postponed due to poor playing surface conditions on the Battery's home pitch in Charleston, South Carolina.
