Women's World Cup: Netherlands, Canada Advance To Knockout Stage

Group-stage play in the FIFA Women's World Cup continued on Saturday in France with two games.

GROUP E:

At Valenciennes:

Anna Vivianne Miedema scored twice (51', 85') as the Netherlands locked up a berth in the knockout stage following their 3-1 victory over Cameroon.

At Grenoble:

Jessie Fleming (48') and Nichelle Prince (79') each scored once as Canada blanked New Zealand 2-0 in clinched a berth in the knockout stage.
