GROUP C:

At Tehran, Iran:

Edmilson Junior Paulo da Silva's equalizer in the 55th min ute lifted Al-Duhail to a 1-1 road draw with Esteghlal----and a berth in the knockout stage.

Rouzbeh Cheshmi scored for the now-eliminated hosts in the 53rd minute.

At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

Hattan Sultan Bahebri (1') and Mohammad Al-Shalhoub (90') each scored once at opposite ends of the match as Al-Hilal clinched top spot in Group C following their 2-0 home blanking of Al-Ain.

Igor Sergeev scored the only goal of the match in the 86th minute as Pakhtakor knocked visiting Persepolis out of the tournament by defeating the Iranian club 1-0.

At Doha, Qatar:

Akram Afif scored the winning goal in the 12th minute as Al-Sadd, heading for the knockout stage, defeated visiting Al-Ahli 2-1.
