AFC Champions League

Group-stage play in the AFC Champions League continued on Wednesday with four games.

GROUP E:

At Jinan, China:

Marouane Fellaini scored the winning goal in the 87th minute as Shandong Luneng clinched top spot in Group E by defeating visiting Gyeongnam FC 2-1.

At Johor Bahru, Malaysia:

Muhammad Syafiq scored the only goal of the match in the 69th minute as Johor Darul Ta'zim kept their slim hopes of advancing alive by knocking off visiting Kashima Antlers 1-0.

Group E Standings:

1. y-Shandong Luneng (GP: 5; GD: +3; PTS: 11)
2.    Kashima Antlers (GP: 5; GD: 0; PTS: 7)
3.    Gyeongnam FC (GP: 5; GD: -1; PTS: 5)
4.    Johor Darul Ta'zim (GP: 5; GD: -2; PTS: 4)

y-Won Group E and clinched berth in knockout stage



GROUP F:

At Hiroshima, Japan:

Li Xuepeng's own goal in the 15th minute proved critical as Sanfrecce Hiroshima knocked off visiting Guangzhou Evergrande 1-0 and locked up a berth in the knockout stage as well as top spot in Group F.

At Daegu, South Korea:

Edgar Bruno da Silva (PK-9'), Jeong Tae-wook (53'), Kim Dae-won (80'), and Jung Seon-ho (61') each scored once as Daegu FC demolished the visiting Melbourne Victory 4-0.

Group F:

1. y-Sanfrecce Hiroshima (GP: 5; GD: +3; PTS: 12)
2.    Daegu FC (GP: 5; GD: +5; PTS: 9)
3.    Guangzhou Evergrande (GP: 5; GD: +3; PTS: 7)
