AFC Champions League

The AFC Champions League's group stage continued on Tuesday with eight games.

GROUP A:

At Karbala, Iraq:

Mohammad Niknafs (28') and Reza Habibzadeh (90'+2) each scored once as Zob Ahan gained a 2-2 road draw with Al-Zawraa and a berth in the knockout stage.

Alaa Abbas (44') and Mohannad Abdul-Raheem (61') each scored once for the hosts who were eliminated from the tournament.

At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

Abdulla Al Salem scored the winning goal in the 34th minute as Al-Nassr locked up a berth in the knockout stage by defeating visiting Al-Wasl 3-1.

At Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:

Leonardo da Silva Souza scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute with his successfully-converted penalty kick as Al-Wahda locked up a knockout-stage berth by defeating visiting Lokomotiv Tashkent 3-1.

At Doha, Qatar:

Nasser Al-Shamrani (62') and Romario Ricardo Silva (a.k.a. Romarinho) (67') each scored a second-half goal five minutes apart as Al-Ittihad booked their tickets for the knockout stage after blanking Al-Rayyan 2-0 on the road.

At Buriram, Thailand:

Yuki Muto scored the game winner in the 23rd minute as Urawa Red Diamonds defeated Buriram United 2-1 on the road and eliminated the hosts from the tournament.

At Beijing:

Kim Shin-wook scored the only goal of the match in the 17th minute as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors locked up top spot in Group G by knocking off Beijing FC 1-0 on the road.

GROUP H:

At Ulsan, South Korea:

Mix Diskerud (remember him, MLS fans?) scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute as Ulsan Hyundai locked up top spot in Group H by knocking visiting Sydney FC out of the tournament 1-0.

At Kawasaki, Japan:

Hulk scored twice (6', 71') as Shanghai SIPG gained a 2-2 road draw with Kawasaki Frontale to stay one point ahead of the Japanese club for the second knockout-stage berth from Group H.

Leandro Damiao (13') and Shogo Taniguchi (66') each scored once for the hosts.
