AFC Champions League

The final week of AFC Champions League group-stage play commenced on Monday with four games.

GROUP C:

At Doha, Qatar:

Bafetimbi Gomes scored twice (29', 55') as Al-Hilal gained a 2-2 road draw with Al-Duhail in a battle of teams that had already clinched berths in the knockout stage.

Youssef El-Arabi (15') and Khalid Muneer Mazeed (90'+2) each scored once for the hosts.

At Al Ain, United Arab Emirates:

Morteza Tabrizi scored the winning goal in the first minute of first-half stoppage time as Esteghlal defeated Al-Ain 2-1 in the tournament finale for both clubs.

Final Group C Standings:

1. Al Hilal (GP: 6; GD: +5; PTS: 13)
2. Al-Duhail (GP: 6; GD: +3; PTS: 9)
3. Esteghlal (GP: 6; GD: -2; PTS: 8)
4. Al-Ain (GP: 6; GD: -6; PTS: 2)

Al-Hilal and Al-Duhail advanced to the knockout stage.



GROUP D:

At Tehran, Iran:

Mehdi Torabi (16') and Ali Alipour (67') each scored a goal as Persepolis blanked visiting Al-Sadd 2-0.

At Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:

Abdulrahman Ghareeb scored the stoppage-time game winner (90'+2) as Al-Ahli clinched a berth in the knockout stage by defeating visiting Pakhtakor 2-1.

Final Group D Standings:

1. Al-Sadd (GP: 6; GD: -1; PTS: 10)
2. Al-Ahli (GP: 6; GD: 0; PTS: 9)
3. Pakhtakor (GP: 6; GD: 0; PTS: 8)
4. Persepolis (GP: 6; GD: +1; PTS: 7)

Al-Sadd and Al-Ahli advanced to the knockout stage.
