Luc Castaignos (65') and Takahiro Kunimoto (90'+4) each scored once as Gyeongnam FC blanked visiting Johor Darul Ta'zim 2-0.
At Kashima, Japan:
Sho Ito scored twice in a two-minute second-half span (68', 70') as Kashima Antlers upended visiting Shandong Luneng 2-1 to seal a berth in the knockout stage.

Yusuke Minagawa scored the game winner in the 73rd minute as Sanfrecce Hiroshima defeated the Melbourne Victory 3-1 on the road.
