At Esteli, Nicaragua:
CD Walter Ferretti and visiting Plaza Amador battled to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.
At San Salvador, El Salvador:
Alianza FC, thanks to Rodolfo Zelaya's goal in the 51st minute, defeated visiting CD Olimpia (Honduras) 1-0 in the opening contest of their two-game series.
