Ten-man DC United and visiting Toronto FC battled to a 1-1 stalemate. Kofi Opare put the hosts ahead with his goal in the sixth minute, but teammate Steve Birnbaum's own goal at 52 minutes enabled the Reds to grab at point away from home.
At Chester, Pennsylvania:
C. J. Sapong scored twice (17', 68') as the Philadelphia Union knocked off visiting FC Dallas 3-1.
This contest included the first-ever Video Review in MLS history as the Hoops' Maximiliano Urruti's goal scored in the 80th minute was disallowed by referee Ricardo Salazar (who initiated a review) due to a fowl committed by Dallas' Cristian Colman against Philly goalkeeper John McCarthy.
At Montreal:
Ignacio Piatti (48') and Anthony Jackson-Hamel (84') each scored a second-half goal to lift the Montreal Impact to a 2-1 come-from-behind home victory over Orlando City.
At Minneapolis:
Clint Dempsey scored twice (18', 73') as the Seattle Sounders stretched their unbeaten streak to seven games following their 4-0 road demolition of Minnesota United.
At Bridgeview, Illinois:
Matt Polster (8'), Juninho (39'), Michael de Leeuw (49'), and Luis Solignac (90'+2) each tallied once as the Chicago Fire picked up their ninth straight home victory, 4-1 at the expense of the New England Revolution.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Tony Tchani (5') and Fredy Montero (76') each scored once as the Vancouver Whitecaps gained a 2-2 road draw with the Colorado Rapids. Axel Sjoberg (15') and Kevin Doyle (54') provided the Rapids' goals.
At Sandy, Utah:
Real Salt Lake and the visiting, ten-man Houston Dynamo battled to a 0-0 deadlock.
At San Jose, California:
Marco Urena (42') and Chris Wondolowski (56') each scored once as the San Jose Earthquakes defeated the visiting Columbus Crew 2-1.
