At Chester, Pennsylvania:
Yamil Asad (26') and Tyrone Mears (90'+1) each scored twice as Atlanta United came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with the Philadelphia Union. Roland Alberg (18') and Alejandro Bedoya (23') each delivered a goal for the hosts.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Ola Kamara (50') and Jonathan Mensah (71') each scored once as the Columbus Crew knocked off visiting FC Dallas 2-1.
At Orlando, Florida:
Brek Shea scored the winning goal in the 53rd minute as the Vancouver Whitecaps held off Orlando City 2-1 on the road.
At Bridgeview, Illinois:
Abu Danladi scored twice in the first half (36', 45') as Minnesota United knocked off the slumping Chicago Fire 2-1 for their first-ever road victory.
At Sandy, Utah:
Luis Silva scored twice (50', 90'+2) as Real Salt Lake secured the Rocky Mountain Cup following their 4-1 home domination of the Colorado Rapids.
NOTE: Saturday's originally-scheduled contest between Sporting Kansas City and the Houston Dynamo in Houston has, due to major weather concerns, been postponed until October 11.
