UEFA Champions League: Bhoys, Olympiacos, Maribor, Sevilla, Napoli Advance To Group Stage

Five games were contested on Tuesday as the second half of the UEFA Champions League's playoff round commenced.

Champions Route:

At Rijeka, Croatia:

Marko Marin scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute as Olympiacos defeated HNK Rijeka 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Astana, Kazakhstan:

Scott Sinclair (33'), James Olivier Ntcham (80'), and Leigh Griffiths (90') each scored once as Celtic, despite dropping a 4-3 game-two road decision to Astana (and seeing their 42-game unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end), still won their series 8-4 on aggregate and advanced to the group stage for the tenth time in club history.

At Maribor, Slovenia:

Mitja Viler scored the series-winning goal in the 15th minute as NK Maribor defeated visiting Hapoel Be'er Sheva 1-0 in game two, and with the aggregate score at 2-2, ousted the Israeli club on away goals and advanced to the group stage.
League Route:

At Seville, Spain:

Sergio Escudero (52') and Wissam Ben Yedder (75') each scored a second-half goal as Sevilla gained a game-two 2-2 home draw with Istanbul Basaksehir and won their series with the Turkish club 4-3 on aggregate.

At Nice, France:

Thanks to goals courtesy of Jose Callejon (48') and Lorenzo Insigne (89'), Napoli registered a second 2-0 victory over Nice, this time on the road, and ousted the French club 4-0 on aggregate.
