UEFA Champions League Group-Stage Draw

The draw for the UEFA Champions League's group stage took place on Thursday in Monaco.

GROUP A:

SL Benfica (Portugal)

Manchester United (England; won 2017-18 Europa League title)

FC Basel (Switzerland)

CSKA Moscow (Russia)



GROUP B:

Bayern Munich (Germany)

Paris Saint-Germain (France)

RSC Anderlecht (Belgium)

Celtic (Scotland)



GROUP C:

Chelsea (England)

Atletico Madrid (Spain)

AS Roma (Italy)

Qarabag FK (Azerbaijan; a first for that country)



GROUP D:

Juventus (Italy)

Barcelona (Spain)

Olympiacos (Greece)

Sporting CP (Portugal)



GROUP E:

Spartak Moscow (Russia)

Sevilla (Spain)

Liverpool (England)

NK Maribor (Slovenia)



GROUP F:

Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine)

Group-stage play opens on Tuesday, September 12.  Each team plays each of the other three teams in its' group twice.  After six games, the top two teams in each group advanced to the Champions League's knockout stage while each group's third-place squad heads to the Europa League's Round of 32.
