Draw Puts FC Moscow Back On Top

Five games were played Saturday in the Russian Premier League:

At Kazan:

Sergei Semak's goal at 24 minutes enabled FC Moscow to gain a 1-1 road draw with FC Rubin Kazan and reclaim first place in the Russian Premiership standings. Alexander Ryazantsev's goal in the 17th minute had put the hosts ahead.

At Saint Petersburg:

Alejandro Dominguez (19'), Pavel Pogrebniak (53'), and Igor Denisov (74') powered Zenit Saint Petersburg to a 3-0 home whitewashing of Dinamo Moscow.

At Moscow:

Lokomotiv Moscow, thanks to Diniyar Bilyaletdinov's tally (28'), bested visiting FC Khimki 1-0.

At Vladivostok:

At perhaps the easternmost city that has a club in a top-flight European league, Georgi Bazaev scored the only goal (37') of Luch-Energiya Vladivostok's 1-0 home triumph over FC Amkar Perm'.

At Samara:

Iso Kanienda was the difference as his 82nd-minute score lifted FC Rostov-Na-Donu to a 1-0 road win over PFC Samara Kryliya Sovetov.
