Goals from Abel (15') and Liedson (33') lifted Sporting Club Portugal to a 2-0 home triumph over relegation-threatened Beira Mar. The win put the Lions four points in back of first-place FC Porto and three in back of second-place Benfica atop the Portuguese BwinLiga standings. This was Monday's lone match in Portugal's top-flight division.
