PSV Beaten By NEC; Road JC Triumphant; Almost Time To Stick The Proverbial Fork Into ADO

Three Saturday games were contested in the Dutch Eredivisie:

At Nijmegen:

Brett Holman's double (22', 24') lifted NEC Nijmegen to a 2-1 home win over stumbling league-leading PSV Eindhoven.

At Kerkrade:

UEFA Cup hopefuls Roda JC Kerkrade got goals from Pa-Modou Kah (48') and Andres Oper (89') to blank visiting Excelsior 2-0.

At Heerenveen:

ADO Den Haag, which has assured themselves of finising no higher than the relegation-playoff zone, did do some damage to SC Heerenveen's hopes of reaching a playoff berth for a Champions League qualifying spot by holding the hosts to a 1-1 draw. Afonso Aves put Heerenveen in front at 24 minutes, only to see ADO's Santi Holk equalized at 42 minutes.
