Eagles and Dragons Battle To Draw, Keeping FC Porto On Top Of League

Five games were played Sunday in the Portuguese Super Liga:

At Lisbon:

In a battle of the top two teams in the BwinLiga standings, league-leading FC Porto and hosts SL Benfica battled to a 1-1 draw. Pepe's goal at 40 minutes put the visiting Dragons up 1-0. Unfortunately, though, his teamate Lucho Gonzalez tied the game at 83 minutes with his own goal.

At Setubal:

Kevin Amuneke's insurance goal (67') sealed Vitoria Setubal's 2-0 home win over Estrela Amadora.

At Funchal:

Goals from Wender (27') and Maciel (89') lifted Sporting Braga back up to fourth place as The Arsenalists doubled hosts Maritimo 2-1.

At Figueira da Foz:

Visiting CD Nacional and Naval battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Coimbra:

Uniao Leiria and hosts Academica de Coimbra played to a 0-0 deadlock.
