Gunner Top Trotters; Blades Back Out Of Drop Zone

Six Saturday games took place in the English Premier League:

At London:

Goals from Tomas Rosicky (31') and Cesc Fabregas (46') enabled Arsenal to come back from a one-goal deficit to clip visiting Bolton 2-1 and remain in fourth place in the Premiership standings.

At Sheffield United:

Sheffield United, thanks to goals from Michael Tonge (39'), Phil Jagielka (68'), and Jonathan Stead (78'), climbed out of the relegation zone with their 3-0 home whitewashing of relegation-threatened West Ham United.

At Manchester:

Third-place Liverpool and homestanding Manchester City played to a deadlocked 0-0 yawner.

At Reading:

Stephen Hunt provided the lone goal (15') of Reading's 1-0 home win over struggling Fulham.

At Portsmouth:

Benjani Mwaruwari (7') and Matthew Taylor (59') provided the goals for Portsmouth as the hosts bested Newcastle United 2-1.

At Middlesbrough:

Aston Villa
spotted Middlesbrough an early 1-0 lead before Craig Gardner (45'), Luke Moore (70'), and Stiliyan Petrov (77') tallied to lead the visiting Villans to a 3-1 win over Boro.
