Wizards Double Up DC; Dynamo Blank Goats; Revs Blast TFC; Crew and RLS Draw Goose Eggs

Four games were played Saturday in Major League Soccer:

At Washington:

Michael Harrington (3'), Sasha Victorine (8'), Eddie Johnson (45'), and Scott Sealy (54') provided the firepower to lift the Kansas City Wizards to a season-opening 4-2 road win over DC United. Luciano Emilio (11') and Christian Gomez (34') scored for the still winless hosts.

At Houston:

Brian Ching scored the lone goal (54') of the Houston Dynamo's 1-0 home win over Chivas USA.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Taylor Twellman's double (12', 18') was a key part of the New England Revolution's 4-0 frontier-styled fistbeating of visiting Toronto FC.

At Salt Lake City:

The visiting Columbus Crew and Real Salt Lake battled to a 0-0 stalemate (the Crew's second such result in as many games, and the second tied game in as many starts for RSL).
