Sergio Moreno scored twice (PK-54', 79') as Panama's Universitario demolished Diriangen of Nicaragua 4-0 in their series opener.
At San Jose, Costa Rica:
Jovan East (14') and Maalique Foster (18') each scored once as Portmore United of Jamaica took the opening match of their series with Santos de Guapiles 2-1 on the road.
