Viktor Klonaridis' equalizer in the 80th minute lifted AEK Athens to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Celtic.

At Wals-Siezenheim, Austria:
Moanes Dabour scored twice (PK-16', 45'+3) as FC Red Bull Salzburg dominated visiting Shkendija 3-0 in their series-opening match.

Dimitris Palkas scored the game winner in the 44th minute as all five goals were scored in the opening half of PAOK's 3-2 series-opening home win over Spartak Moscow.
