Sebastian Giovinco scored twice (7', 22') as Toronto FC held off the visiting Montreal Impact 3-1.
At Kansas City, Kansas:
Yohan Croizet (48') and Diego Rubio (62') each scored once as Sporting Kansas City blanked visiting Minnesota United 2-0.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Jefferson Savarino scored twice (33', 58') as Real Salt Lake maintained possession of the Rocky Mountain Cup following their 6-0 road annihilation of the Colorado Rapids.
At San Jose, California:
Yordy Reyna (59'), Cristian Techera (61'), and Kei Kamara (68') each scored a goal during a ten-minute stretch as the Vancouver Whitecaps overcame a two-goal deficit and upended the struggling San Jose Earthquakes 3-2 on the road.
