UEFA Champions League Qualifying: Dynamo Kiev, BATE, PAOK, AEK, Ajax, Salzburg, Yellow Canaries Advance To Playoff Round

Ten games were contested on Tuesday as the third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying concluded.

CHAMPIONS PATH:

At Athens:

Rodrigo Galo (6') and Marko Livaja (50') each scored a goal as AEK Athens held off visiting Celtic 2-1 in game two and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Skopje, Macedonia:

Takumi Minimino scored the game's lone goal at the death (90'+2) as FC Red Bull Salzburg defeated Shkendija 1-0 on the road in game two and ousted the Macedonian club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Trnava, Slovakia:

Nemanja Radonjic scored the series-winning overtime goal in the 98th minute as Red Star Belgrade, after a game-two 1-1 regulation draw forced the added 30 minutes, won their series on the road against Spartak Trnava 3-2 on aggregate.

At Barysaw, Belarus:

Mirko Ivanic scored in the 20th minute to help FC BATE Borisov gain a game-two 1-1 home draw with Qarabag and win their series with the Azerbaijani club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Zagreb, Croatia:

Mario Gavranovic scored the only goal of the match in the 74th minute as Dinamo Zagreb defeated Astana 1-0 at home in game two and won their series 3-0 on aggregate.

At Felcsut, Hungary:

Despite being held to a 0-0 game-two deadlock with visiting Malmo, MOL Vidi, with the aggregate score at 1-1, won their series with the Swedish club on away goals.


LEAGUE PATH:

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (30'), Matthijs De Ligt (34'), and David Neres (46') each scored once as Ajax Amsterdam dominated visiting Standard Liege 3-0 in game two and eliminated the Belgian club 5-2 on aggregate.

At Istanbul, Turkey:

Alper Potuk's first-half stoppage-time goal (45'+1) enabled Fenerbahce to gain a 1-1 game-two home draw with SL Benfica as the Yellow Canaries knocked out the Eagles 2-1 on aggregate.

At Kiev, Ukraine:

Benjamin Verbic (11') and Artem Besyedin (74') each scored once as Dynamo Kiev blanked visiting Slavia Prague 2-0 in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Moscow:

A game-two 0-0 road stalemate with Spartak Moscow was good enough for PAOK, who won their series with the Russian club 3-2 on aggregate.
