MLS: Rivalry Wins For Red Bulls, Sounders

Two games were played on Sunday as Major League Soccer's Rivalry Week concluded.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Kaku Gamarra scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute as the New York Red Bulls defeated visiting DC United 1-0 to lock up possession of the Atlantic Cup.

At Portland, Oregon:

Julio Cascante's own goal in the 76th minute lifted the Seattle Sounders to their MLS era franchise-record seventh straight victory, 1-0 on the road in a Cascadia Cup clash over the Portland Timbers.

The Sounders' unbeaten streak has now reached ten games while the Timbers, after a 15-match unbeaten run, have dropped four straight (being outscored 10-2, and having given up eight unanswered goals).
