At Rustenburg:
Ghana came from behind to move into sole possession of first place in Group D with a 1-1 stalemate with Australia. The Socceroos took the early lead when Brett Holman scored in the 11th minute. However, after Harry Kewell was ejected via a red card after committing a handball foul in their own penalty area, Asamoah Gyan equalized in the 25th minute for the Black Stars with his successful penalty kick.
