2010 FIFA World Cup, Group G: Samba Boys Clinch Berth In Knockout Stage With Win Over Elephants

One game was played in Group G play in South Africa on Sunday as the World Cup continued.

At Johannesburg:

Luis Fabiano doubled (25', 50', that's him, above, celebrating after that second goal) and Elano added another goal at 62 minutes as Brazil clinched a berth in the Round of 16 with a 3-1 win over Ivory Coast.  The five-time World Cup champs will have to play their final group game against Portugal on Friday without Kaka, who was ejected in the 88th minute with a red card, by way of a questionable second yellow card.
