MLS: Scoreless In Toronto and Washington; Shutout Wins For Red Bulls, Hoops, Rapids, Sounders; Galaxy and Fire Win At Home

Eight Saturday contests took place in Major League Soccer.

At Toronto:

Toronto FC stretched their unbeaten streak to five games with a 0-0 home stalemate with the Kansas City Wizards.

At Washington:

DC United posted their first shutout of the league season by ending Real Salt Lake's franchise-record five-game winning streak with a 0-0 deadlock at home.


At Harrison, New Jersey:


Seth Stammler's goal at 27 minutes provided all the scoring as the New York Red Bulls defeated visiting Chivas USA 1-0.


At Carson, California:


Jovan Kirovski's double (0', 21') helped the Los Angeles Galaxy remain undefeated as they dominated the visiting Houston Dynamo 4-1.


At Bridgeview, Illinois:


Baggio Husidic (14') and Marco Pappa (74') each scored once as the Chicago Fire doubled up the visiting Philadelphia Union 2-1.


At Frisco, Texas:


Brek Shea scored both goals within a two-minute span (58', 60') as FC Dallas blanked the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 2-0.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Drew Moor scored in the 85th minute as the Colorado Rapids downed the visiting Columbus Crew 1-0.


At Seattle:


Leo Gonzalez scored his first MLS goal (5'), while Steve Zakuani (23') and Fredy Montero (41') also tallied once apiece as Seattle Sounders FC overpowered the visiting New England Revolution 3-0.
